New Beginnings
Who's excited about 2013?
I realize it's "just another year", but a new year brings with it the excitement of new beginnings and new possibilities. It gives you the opportunity to look ahead and not back. That makes me excited. 2012 was a year full of ups and downs for our family. We had too many medical scares (more on that later) and are looking forward to what will hopefully be a year of healing!
My husband and I make resolutions each year. You can't meet your goals if you don't have any, right? We haven't solidified all of them just yet, but we will before Sunday.
A couple of S.M.A.R.T. rules we have as set our resolutions:
- Specific
- Measurable
- Attainable
- Relevant
- Time sensitive
We set these while remembering that (per our pastor's sermon):
Change beings with ...
- a sincere desire
- a single desire
- a strong determination
- a steadfast destination
- a spiritual discipline
